Introduction to the Glenwrights

I’m delighted to announce that a new curate, Rev’d Jo Glenwright, will be joining St Chad’s Church from 27th June 2022.

“Hello to all at St Chad’s!
It is so good to be joining you for the next few years. I hope to join in with what God and you are doing together in this place at this time, serving and learning alongside you. For me my journey of faith has been life long and I expect will continue to be so. My heart is for connecting people with God, and his love for them. I have journeyed myself in understanding God’s love for me, and truly accepting it and letting it change my behaviour in this world. I am still on that journey, very much a work in progress. But I do have this deep belief that we are called to live lives trusting in God’s love for us, rather than driven by fear. And I am inspired and sustained in this, by the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ,
whom I believe proves God’s love for us and enables us to trust him again. My family and I join you after serving my deacon year at St Edmund’s, Roundhay. Prior to that we had been worshipping for 9 years with St James Woodside, Horsforth. Before that I attended St Peter’s, Harrogate, which is where I was confirmed, and Rob and I were married. Rob and I (both 36) met at school, and have been together since we were 18. We both have a background in analysis, I as an economist in the civil service, and Rob in various lead roles for Aviva. I left my career after 11 years in order to start three years of training for ministry, gaining a postgraduate diploma in Theology, Ministry and Mission and our third child.
Our children Ted, (7), Max (5) and Elsa (3) bring us so much life and joy, if no rest. As a family, we enjoy being outdoors, sports (including Newcastle United), time with family and friends, travel, film and food.
We look forward to meeting you,
With blessings and prayers,
Jo”
