Youth Group Update Aug 2023 – Camps, Confirmations and Celebrations
This term we explored what it means to live the lifestyle of a Christian, of worship, prayer, and serving in preparation for four of our members taking the step to be confirmed. The confirmation service was a wonderful celebration of faith at St Chad’s, with Bishop Arun coming to lead the service.
St Chad’s was also able to host the first year 6 residential camp for Leeds and Bradford! This is a one-night residential open to churches across Leeds and Bradford to bring their year 6s as we aim to explore the adventure of what it means to move up to year 7, facing fears, and learning to adapt to new opportunities, all rooted in the teaching of Jesus. We had lots of fun and games and travelled up to Bramhope Scout Camp as part of that adventure.

Also for the first time, we were able to take some of our youth to a Ventures Summer Camp. This was a week-long camp in the lake district, full of activities, teaching and worship, our youth really enjoyed the week as we explored who God is as well as climbing and other activities and we hope to take even more next year!
This has been a fantastic year and we are really looking forward to the new term starting up. Please pray for us to keep growing as a group and that we keep learning more about our amazing God with this amazing team at St Chad’s.
