St Chad’s Knitting Group
Knit and Natter takes place on the first Tuesday of the month in the St Chad’s Parish Centre Bar. Anyone is welcome to join, whether you knit, craft, paint, sew, want to learn how, or just enjoy good company and conversation. You can bring your own project or join in with group projects like:
- The Remembrance Sunday church gates poppy display. (We used the spares in the All-Age Service to help us imagine what first steps towards world peace might look like)
- Our Comfort and Joy Angels, delivered to the housebound at Christmas
- Knitted hats for premature babies.
- Making nativity costumes for our Crib Service.

In the summer we sometimes decamp from the bar into the sunshine.
