- 3 midweek evening senior league teams (champions in 2014, 2015 and 2020)
- A new women’s league team playing both hard ball and soft ball cricket
- A new senior friendly team playing at the weekend and midweek
- 5 junior teams at various age groups starting from 5 years old
- A new girls’ team playing in soft ball cricket festivals
…..and if you want to play all year round you can play for one of our four indoor league teams (champions in 2020) in the winter! No other cricket club in the area can provide cricket for such a wide variety of standards and ages, all year round.

Tennis Club
Situated next to St. Chad’s Church, and in a beautiful semi-rural setting, St. Chad’s Tennis Club is renowned for its friendly, social atmosphere. Members play on the two outdoor courts throughout the year, pending the weather. Our newly refurbished clubhouse has changing and toilet facilities. New members welcome!

The Green Team
In 2000 St Chad’s Green Team started promoting awareness of our responsibilities towards the environment and sustainability of planet earth. Each year we hold at least one special service (usually in the summer) which focusses on an aspect of our responsibilities to the environment. There is a recycling box in the Welcome Porch of the church for used reading glasses, mobile phones, batteries, computer cartridges and postage stamps. The churchyard is maintained for the benefit of wildlife, whilst always remembering its prime purpose as a resting place for the deceased. (see Churchyard as wildlife haven for further details).
