St Chad’s Youth & Junior Youth Group, Far Headingley
Our Youth Group and Junior Youth Group gather at the Parish Centre on term-time Friday evenings 7.30pm-9pm. The evenings include games, snacks, and chat about faith. We welcome young people aged 11 to 15. We start the night together with icebreakers, quizzes and activities. For the teaching and chat we split into older and younger groups. We usually gather together again for a last half hour of games and activities. Our termly programme always includes some trips out and social nights which might be Virtual Reality Games, bowling, trampolining, cinema, ready-steady-cook, fire-pit and marshmallow nights, and one-off events. We make sure we offer a Christian Youth Residential trip each year too. At the core of each evening is some time for Christian teaching, discussion and prayer. We often follow a theme for a term. For example: People Jesus met, Identity, Youth Alpha, etc
